In-Definite Arts serves adults (18 years old or more) with developmental disabilities who live in the Calgary area. A person seeking service must be eligible to receive funding through the Calgary Region Community Board for Persons with Developmental Disabilities, and should demonstrate a general interest in becoming involved in the creative process. Individuals participating in our programs do not require previous art-making experience, but rather need to indicate a desire to be engaged in artistic activity. Those who require help in the washroom, with eating or drinking, or significant help in the studio must provide their own assistants in order to participate.
Artists who do not meet these requirements and/or are not eligible to receive PDD funding may consider participating in IDAS programming through the support of Artistic Expressions, a like-minded organization that supports adults with physical disability or acquired brain injury.
As we believe there is no finite end to individual creativity or growth, artists at In-Definite Arts are encouraged to participate in the program for as long as they choose.
