IGNITE 2009!
Calgary's Festival for Emerging Artists
June 11-13, 2009
In-Definite Arts has been accepted into the 2009 Art Gallery at the
IGNITE! Festival. Our piece is titled "Mosaic" and is a playful look at "life in
Calgary" - a theme which formed the basis for a series of small drawings,
paintings and fibre collages produced by artists from In-Definite Arts. Each
collage features the creative and highly individualized processes of different
artists with developmental disabilities. Collectively these works offer a sense
of place and lived experience intersected by themes of nature, community and
identity politics.
